Tennille Newton’s primary practice area is family law. While she is an experienced litigator, she is able to resolve many of her cases without the need for trial, recognizing the value in assisting couples and families in moving through a difficult process without unnecessary conflict and expense. Tennille handles divorces, dissolutions, custody matters, including grandparent rights, any post-decree family law matter, and antenuptial agreements.
Tennille has extended her practice to estate planning and estate and trust administration. She is a title agent with Preservation Title Agency.
Tennille is a 1995 graduate of Wauseon High School. She attended the University of Toledo for undergraduate and law school, obtaining her B.A. in 2000 and her J.D. in 2005. After establishing a private practice in Toledo from 2005 to 2007, she joined her current firm. She has been a partner since 2011.
Tennille has extensive training in alternative dispute resolution processes. She also has had significant domestic abuse training to assist her in understanding how domestic abuse impacts families. Tennille is a Mediator, Parenting Coordinator, Early Neutral Evaluator, and Collaboratively trained attorney.
Tennille lives in Defiance with her husband and two children.
