Tennille Newton is a Northwest Ohio attorney with more than twenty years of experience helping individuals and families plan for the future and navigate life’s most important transitions. Her practice focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, small business formation and advising, real estate matters, and family law.
Tennille works with clients throughout Northwest Ohio to create customized estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. She also guides families through probate and trust administration with clarity and compassion. Drawing on her extensive experience in family law, Tennille offers valuable insight into how life events—such as marriage, divorce, blended families, and business ownership—impact long-term planning. She assists clients with antenuptial and postnuptial agreements, estate planning following significant life changes, and the purchase, sale, and transition of businesses, and real estate transfers.
In addition to her estate planning practice, Tennille represents clients in divorce, dissolution, and custody matters. As an experienced litigator, she is a strong advocate in the courtroom when needed, but she is equally committed to resolving matters efficiently and minimizing conflict whenever possible. Tennille understands that legal challenges can be both emotional and complex, and she works to help her clients move forward with confidence and peace of mind.
A lifelong member of the Northwest Ohio community, Tennille is a 1995 graduate of Wauseon High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toledo in 2000 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2005. Tennille has been law partners with Elisa since 2017, and together they founded Newton & Harmon, Ltd. in 2024, serving clients across Northwest Ohio. Tennille is a current board member for the Defiance Area YMCA and has lived in Defiance since 2011.
